This Saturday, September 30th, is National Astronomy Day, and the Hummel Planetarium is doing a first-time big event to celebrate the occasion. Public shows of Earth, Moon, and Sun will begin at noon at the Planetarium on EKU’s campus, and a special presentation with telescopes begins at 1:30 p.m. The big event that night will be the showing of “Apollo 13” on a big, blow-up screen right on the grassy area outside the Perkins Building.
Apollo’s Pizza will bring their food truck down to the Planetarium and there will be lots of fun and food to be had, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00. Let Planetarium Educator Aida Bermudez fill you in on the details!
