The Eastern Kentucky University football team is heading into year two under Head Coach Mark Elder. After a disappointing campaign to open up his tenure as the top guy for the Colonels, Coach Elder said “Things have been a lot better this year, guys know what we expect from them and not only that but why we expect that from them.” The Colonels were forced to use three different starting quarterbacks last year due to injuries and inconsistent play. Now Coach Elder and his staff will have a whole new crop of QB’s to look at as all three guys who got starts last year graduated. The Colonels open up the season September 2nd at Western Kentucky. You can come out and meet the players and coaching staff on August 11th at Roy Kidd Stadium. For more information go to ekusports.com
