Construction on the new Berea Municipal Fire and Safety Building is coming right along, and it seems that everything is on schedule for the September/October grand opening. The old City hall location on Chestnut has served the community since 1967, but a new location was a necessary upgrade in order to better serve the community. Marisa Hempel sat down with Berea Mayor Steve Connelly, who showed the extensive and impressive plans for the new location. The new building will better serve the community with a drive through for payment of utilities, as well as full services for employees, such as the fire department. The re-christening is scheduled for early fall for the brand new facility.
